Learning disability support in supported living is a service that empowers individuals with learning disabilities to live independently and thrive within their communities. This form of support is designed to provide tailored assistance in various aspects of daily life, enabling individuals to exercise choice, achieve personal growth, and foster meaningful connections with others.
Supported living is a person-centred approach that acknowledges the unique needs and abilities of individuals with learning disabilities. The goal is to create an environment that fosters independence and inclusion by offering a range of support services and accommodations. These services are typically provided within the individual’s own home or in shared accommodation, promoting a sense of belonging and familiarity within their local community.
